CBT Sessions

We focus on 4 main CBT sessions within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: Anxiety, Self Esteem, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), & Phobias.

CBT Sessions - The Process

Our fully trained, qualified and insured CBT therapist will meet with you on a weekly one to one basis to discuss your problem and take a detailed history of your beliefs on your area including any maladaptive or irrational thoughts that are affecting the emotions and subsequent behaviour. The second session will commence the CBT plan and the therapist will be able to let you know what this involves and how long the therapy is likely to take, as an estimate, bearing in mind that clients respond at different speeds, therefore this is only an approximation.

Goals are set to facilitate problem solving, you will test these out in a behavioural context in the session and external to the session. Effectively this will enable you to discover options to help you change behaviours and emotions, thereby enabling you to progress by comparing results with previous experience. This CBT approach assists you to become more independent and self reliant in the future.
